Hello everyone!
Last time you received an email about MicroZine was November of last year! A lot has happened since then, but the most important thing that’s happened is the MicroZine print issues are ready for the big stage!
Read on to the end to download the template to make your own zine. But before you scroll away, I’d love to tempt you with the first print issue! Features 4 micro fiction stories. We have 3 more special MicroZine issues coming to commemorate our first year of prompts and participants. The idea of writing micro fiction is growing amongst the fiction community and I could think of no better way to express how much I love writing micro fiction than to share it with these mini zines.
Special thanks goes out to
, , & Dan Brook for their micro fiction contributions last year that made it into our first issue! All you need is access to a printer. Each zine is one sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch paper.
To help you create the zine, here is a short and sweet how-to video to follow once you’ve printed your issue.
The video and the template would not be possible without
and the video he made HERE. I suggest checking his out as he’s a much better speaker/explainer of exactly how the folding operation works! Now, because MicroZine is all about sharing, here is the promised template I use to create these zines. Just right click the image and download the PNG.
I suggest decreasing the OPACITY in whatever program you use (Canva, Adobe Photoshop or Express). Stay within the black lines and think of the purple lines as the bleed you’ll want to avoid. You can also download the PDF to use as well:
And if you create your own zine of micro fiction, please let me know so I can highlight it here!
